Flooring Calculators

Estimate flooring, tile, carpet, grout, and epoxy quantities for any room.

Calculators

Which measurement should I take first?

Measure the room's length and width to get square footage, then decide which material you're installing — box-based materials like flooring and tile need a waste-factor allowance on top of raw square footage, while carpet is usually sold by the roll width, so leftover cuts matter more. If you're tiling, run the grout calculator after the tile calculator once you know your tile size and joint width.

Suggested project order

  1. Flooring / subfloor — confirm base material quantity first.
  2. Tile or Carpet — pick your finish surface.
  3. Grout — for tile installs, calculate grout once tile layout is set.
